South Creek Foxhounds holds a hunter pace every month. All riders are welcome and offer classes for both jumping, non-jumping, western, endurance, and carriage riders. Year end Champion Ribbos given to high point winners! Come out and join us!

What is a Hunter Pace?
You and your partner(s) ride a flagged cross country course on the most beautiful land this side of the Ocala National Forest. You may watch eagles & hawks soar, deer seek cover, wild boar rustling through the underbrush and maybe even find yourself on the trail of the ever elusive fox!
Contrary to what you may have heard, a hunter pace is NOT a race!
The teams arriving closest to the ideal hunter pace time (a secretly kept time) are the winners.

- Riders & drivers of all ages are welcome to participate
- Teams of at least 2 riders / drivers are required.
- Singles are welcome! We’ll team you up with a partner
- Registration fee: $50. per rider *
- Start: First riders out by 8AM
- Endurance Riders out by 9AM
- Last rider out by 11AM
- Check in at the registration desk.
- Plenty of parking

- Gilley Creek: 24615 Oak Knoll Road, Myakka City, Florida 34251
Directions From I-75: Exit 229, Parrish. Go East on Moccasin Wallow Road for 5 miles. Take a right (South) on 301 for 1.2 miles. Take a left on CR 675 (Rutland Road) and go East for 8 miles. Take a left on Oak Knoll Road (dirt driveway) and travel down the driveway approximately 1.8 miles. Look for the HUNTER PACE signs! - T. Mabry Carlton Reserve
Directions from Tampa Area: Proceed South on I-75 and exit at 193 (Jacaranda Blvd). Turn LEFT and go .9 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Boarder Road. Go 2.6 miles and turn LEFT onto Mabry Carlton Parkway into the Preserve. Look for Hunter Pace sign. You will then travel about .35 miles. - Alafia River State Park: 13010 Country Road 39 South, Lithia, FL 33547
3.4 miles South of Lithia Pinecrest Road on South Country Road 39. Entrance is on the East side of the road. Look for the Hunter Pace sign. - Little Everglades Ranch: 17951 Hamilton Road, Dade City, FL 33523
Use the GOULD Road. entrance, just north of Ashbrook Road off of US 301/98. At the end of Gould Road, take a right on Hamilton Road, heading SOUTH to enter into the Ranch. Follow the SCF signs.
